Forecasters warn of poor visibility as first major winter storm hits Chicago area: ‘We’re expecting conditions to get bad very, very quick’

Most of northern Illinois is expected to get at least an inch of snow when a winter storm hits Tuesday afternoon, though areas to the north and west of Chicago could see as much as 7 inches from the season’s first major snowfall.
